Eventful Week
Monday, April 24th, 2006I must admit that I have just gone through the craziest week in my life..
Can u imagine I was in Times square on wednesday 630am! Steph auditioned for one in a million and we were expectedly the first who registered.. but then.. we waited for a total of 9 hours before she could sing.. and it only lasted for 2 minutes! :o) good try darling! for the courage!
immediately after that we left for KKB.. it was kinda smooth 2 hours journey except that i got lost in KKB town itself! cis.. this 3 days 3 nights hospital visit was an enjoyable one.. it was one of the few chances we get to spend some time with frens whom we do not during normal school time.. on the first night, steph gordon szeliang kexin chinpei woonlee and i stayed up till 3 sharing our experiences.. :o) the next 2 nights belonged to Mafia..
saturday was a half day in hospital.. after a hectic morning (explained below), we (gordon steph and i) set off to seremban to participate in the annual Goodwill Games. It was a gruesome 2+++ hr ride.. Steph won her road relay event(congrats!) and we won the volleyball event too!
however, we did not receive our medals.
this morning at 830, a senior from seremban called us and asked where the volleyball guys were. we was caught by surprise because the match was postponed to 4pm as agreed between Zee and Evelyn (sports reps from both BJ and seremban). However, the senior said he wasnt informed of the change at all! When we called Zee again, he said he wasnt in charged and he has no say. Wat the.. and they had to walk us over because we did not turn up for the game, but he agreed to organise a friendly match for us at 4! har??? after much struggle, Linda (another seremban senior) took up the initiative to gather their volleyball team and the game regained its competition status. Everyone was once again excited. After a hard fought game, which was right before the prize giving ceremony, another senior came up to me and said: we do not have a full team so this game is not counted.
Thanx to much understanding from my fellow team mates, we agreed not to spoil the atmosphere since that was called the goodwill games. Our victory was witnessed and we do not need a medal to prove it. We gave them up.
I believe through this competition we have built a stronger team. Thank you very much guys!
Right after the competition, we rushed back to IMU to pick suchuen up and began a new journey to genting highlands! steph tired her first ever roller coaster! yay! i’m so sure she enjoyed herself.. cos she asked for another corkscrew ride after the first one! :o)
I was more than satisfied for this journey. Although things popped up here and there, they turned out well in the end. Thank you everyone for this wonderful trip!
