Hospital
We’ve started my hospital attachment in Hospital Likas since last friday in the gynae department under Dr Soon. He is the head of department and also the state gynae in Sabah. Dr Soon is a very reasonable and systematic doctor whom i grow to respect as days pass by.
On friday we visited the Labour Ward, and i saw my 1st delivery! :o) It was wonderful to see a new life coming to earth! The gynae offered me a chair.. cos he himself told me that he fainted when he saw his first delivery! Wat an irony.. However, i survived!
Today, we were in the OT. We witnessed Dr soon removing a cyst growing from the left ovary using a laparoscope. It was so amazing that by using 3 sticks and 3 small holes on the body, so much can be done within the body! Next we saw a lady who has a large carcinoma in the cervix. The surgeon pulled open the vagina and the tumour was almost cover the whole opening! Poor lady..
Tmr’s wat they called the ‘caesarian (not sure about the spelling) day’! it’s a day for most of the caesarian cases!! hope it’ll be fun!
